Testimonials of Travellers with World Sport Fishing

Canada, Sturgeon and Salmon Fishing
"Dear Richard,
Thankyou for an excellent fishing trip which was absolutely brilliant. Chris and young guide Steve Morrow looked after us and nothing was too much trouble.

Although Sturgeon was our main quarry on arrival, its not surprising how easy it was to be swayed into the Salmon fishing. As well as catching lots of big Sturgeon, we also caught Pink and Sockeye Salmon up to 7.00 plus, Chum to 25.00 plus, and Chinook to 35.00 plus.

In all honest Richard, this trip has been the best foreign trip I have ever experienced and I have travelled far and wide in search of weird and wonderful species over the years. Both Bob and I will be returning in 2007 when the Pinks run again. Once again mate, Thank You!"
Pete Gregory, Regional Organiser, Pike Angler's Club of Great Britain

Cabos, Mexico
"Hi Richard,
just a quickie to let you know how the trip went.

Arriving in Cabos after midnight, we checked in to the Mar De Cortez with a little trepidation. We were quite unsure about the hotel! It certainly was not the Hilton. However next morning with sunlight and a bit of heat, we were absolutely delighted with the hotel. It was exactly what we required. It provided a great base to fish from. needless to say the hotel staff were wonderful !, and we would not have changed hotels for anything.

Pisces Fleet were also wonderfull. We had loads of fish each day, Tuna ( to 50 lb.), Dorado (to around 50lb) , Rooster (to around 30lb). I lost ( thru my own stupidity, I might add) a Wahoo of unknown size (but it felt BIG!).
The box lunches were great, but far too much to eat ! 1 between two was enough !

The Marlin were thin on the ground all week. But on the last day John boated one at around 10 a.m. Mine came on the very last moment before the boat returned to harbour at around 5mins to one ! Both fish were 180 to 200 lbs. Not large by Marlin standards, but more than ample to give us the thrill of playing large fish. Needless to say, we are both over the moon!!!

Thank you for organising a fantastic holiday for us both,"

Canada
"A quick note to say a huge thank you for our recent Canada Trip, it was a tremendous trip. Not unexpectedly most of us would like to return next year, although this time slightly later in the year. Chris and his team of guides were fantastic and it was a real pleasure to be on the River with them."

The Gambia
"Just a quick line to say a big thank you from the lads and me for and excellent weeks fishing last week, we all thoroughly enjoyed the trips. The inshore trips were fantastic, just being out there in the mouth of the river, with the anticipation that there may well be a monster fish waiting to grab your bait, was a brilliant feeling. The beach fishing, although a little slow was still very enjoyable, maybe we came at the wrong time? The ladies also very much enjoyed their trip out in to the mangroves, and stopping at Lammin Lodge for lunch proved to be very popular with them.

All your staff were very helpful and polite (the Gambian people in a nutshell) and the equipment and boats, first class.

Debbie and I have already decided to come back and visit the Gambia again, this time with our daughter.

Once again, many thanks for your assistance.

I will certainly recommend you on our web site and to anyone I speak
to.

Best wishes"
Staff Sergeant Pete Argent

Fraser River / Harrison River, Canada
"Our recent trip to the Fraser / Harrison rivers was absolutly fantastic. The fishing was first class as were the guides. You were right when you said our arms would be sore catching fish . The accomodation was first class, and Betty and Wayne were the perfect hosts ( Bettys food is to die for ). If any of your guests want to know more about this wonderful place they can e-mail me if they want and i will be only to glad to help them.. we will definitely be going back... please find attached some photos.." - Some of Derek's photos are now in the British Columbia Gallery

Cancun, Mexico
"Dear Richard, just thought I'd let you know I had a great time in Cancun. Hotel was good and fishing great. 1st day, 1st fish was a 40lb plus bull Dolphin fish followed by several bonito of varying sizes. No billfish followed so we had a couple of hours bottom fishing for snapper.

The next day was different! 40 mins out a big fish hit the bait and for nearly 2hrs we didn't see the fish. It just took line on screaming runs and when I regained the line it would take off again. No aerial acrobatics until the 2hr mark when it revealed itself to be a blue marlin of approaching 300lbs. There was much discussion as the crew wanted me to keep it as a trophy fish (on commission I guess). After approaching 3hrs the fish was tired and neared the boat with the mate still wanting to kill it. So I tightened the drag on the reel and pulled like hell and broke him off at the hook. Catch and release in the truest sense of the word!

Sorry about the long winded email but suffice it to say, what a way to spend my 30th birthday. A childhood dream come true and I just want to say thanks for organising it. I will recommend you to anyone who asks. Thanks again."

The Gambia
"Dear Richard, Just a brief email to say thank you for organising such a superb trip for me and cathy to les paletuviers. The whole thing went without a single hitch and the sport was superb, the fishing was good, but the hunting even better, I only managed one 'faco'! but at around 75kg I was more than happy, the bird shooting was excellent, the doves and walking up francolin."
Phil Martin

Cancun, Mexico
"Hi Richard, We really enjoyed it and Cancun is ideal as a holiday/fishing destination with girls. Found the cancun fishing fun but not really fantastic but Roman is a great guy and it could be better in season if he is to be believed!

Pesca Maya is super in every way, and the fishing there should be great if you don't get windy weather which we unfortunately did!!

Lost a huge permit which I had on for over half an hour and which nearly spooled me on its first run and I have got well over 200 yards of backing behind the fly line!!"
Barry & Angie

"Hi Richard, a quick note to thank you and the others for a lovely holiday. It was a memorable experience and very well organized. Many thanks"
