Situated on Senegal’s Northern most border, surrounded by the mighty Atlantic Ocean to the west, Mauritania to the north and one of the most fertile wetlands in the world to the east, St Louis is a sportsman’s paradise.

Both shooters and fishermen alike will find plentyto keep them entertained, a huge selection of options, ensure you will always find something to fill a week or even a fortnight. From 5th December to the 20th March a huge number of migratory Gargany (an extremely fast target, not unlike a Teal) alongside tens of thousands of resident Whistling duck, Pygmy geese and, Spur wing Geese feed on the Parc de Diodji wetlands. Senegals liberal bag limits mean that this really is a wildfowling paradise. Costs are about 30% cheaper than anything we have seen and the quality of the operation and the sport will ensure you a memorable trip.

Sandgrouse and Chevalier – from 13th Dec – 13th Mar Renowned all over Africa for their speed and jinking flight Sandgrouse are well respected quarry and with good reason. Chevalier are similar to Golden plover and offer testing high bird shooting on their morning flight.

Doves and Pigeons – from 5th Dec till end of April these are treated as almost pest species and prolific number or Doves and Pigeons will almost guarantee excellent flighted sport.

Bushpigs 13th Dec – 13th Mar Early morning and evening stalking for local bushpigs is not to be missed, these wily pigs are not an easy quarry and a client will do well to fill his bag limit. Weight vary from 60-120kgs. Rifles and shotguns can be supplied and import arrangement’s can be made for clients wishing to bring their own

Set overlooking the majestic Senegal river wetlands, perfectly situated for angler and shooters alike. All rooms have a large airy 4 star colonial style with AC and wet-room shower. Quality is everywhere with the french a la carte restaurant overlooking the swimming pool terrace.

An idyllic tented bush camp, alongside a beautiful Bolong stream with Pelicans and birds of every colour and type. All tents and on stilted platforms with their own river side veranda have hot showers and comfortable beds. The restaurants and bar are the communal area where clients meet and talk of fishing and shooting till the early hours.

Camp Du Ferlo

These new camps ” the lake of South Guiers and the valley of Ferlo ” were born during the season 2006. They cover alltogether a surface of more than 35 000 hectares.
Camps are implanted in the Valley of Ferlo, on the Commune of Keur Momar Sarr, region of Louga. Situated around the Lake of Guiers, this last one is the biggest lake of fresh water of Senegal and western Africa. It is on this new zone modified for the first time (previously zones classified by intéret cynegetics) that you can devote in your passion, together with Fabien SANCHEZ tenant surrounded with his team.

A new addition to our now well established shooting in Senegal, West Africa is some frankly spectacular high bird Wood Dove shooting. As an add on to our mixed shooting weeks in St Louis, Northern Senegal we are now offering the all new Podor camp.

Completed this season the camp offers comfortable riverside tented accommodation, with AC restaurant and easy access to the best of the local shooting. The morning may start off with walked up Hare and Francolin shooting, with an hour of mixed Dove and pigeon.

Then Lunch and a chill out before you head out to take on some of the most testing high bird shooting you will find anywhere The Wood doves start to head back to roost at around 5pm and the numbers increase steadily till 7pm. These small highly agile targets will put anyone to the test, and if you like high bird shooting then this is definitely your venue. Most flight at 40yds and above and with their fast jinking flight you will need to be on your metal to keep the shot count down.

Your bird boy will be with you all week and offers guidance as well as collecting and dispatching all your quarry. These are superior to anything that you will come across in Argentina or South Africa, maybe not in the same numbers, but for shear quality they are unsurpassed.

As well as the Doves, there is also High quality Duck and Goose shooting, Walked up Snipe and Bushpig Stalking to fill your week.
